Out of the Blue tells the story of the relationship between an adult and their inner child. It explores the power of imagination and how it can take you by surprise and consume you, taking you out of your daily life and to a wonderful place.

My project partner, Maral Hashemian, and I co-directed this short film during our Spring 2021 semester at the School of Visual Arts. We were given 4 months to conceptualize and produce this film while also keeping up with work for other classes. Out of the Blue was inspired by our time attending school online during the pandemic. It was a difficult year for many people and we wanted to bring a small inspiration of hope and joy through our project.
